Jang Keun Suk recently had a hard time because of the fans obsessed with him.
On August 11, Jang went to Shanghai, China, for his concert, the 2012 Jang Keun Suk Asian Tour: The Cri Show 2, but he had a hard time because of the Chinese fans obsessed with him.
On August 14, a spokesperson for Jang reported that Jang went to a restaurant to have a meal after the concert, but there were a lot of people around the restaurant to see him. The Chinese police officers tried to break up the crowd, but it was totally uncontrollable.
The Chinese police said to Jang, “Because you’re the reason of this mess, you have to leave here immediately.” Eventually, Jang had to leave the restaurant.
The spokesperson for Jang also reported, “Even after Jang Keun Suk left the restaurant, the fans kept following his car. It was really dangerous. We were lucky to be alive.”
Because of this happening, the agency of Jang’s concert had to undergo an investigation.
This is not something that only happens in China. Some Japanese fans once installed a location-tracking machine in Jang’s car to follow him.
The spokesperson for Jang says, “We really appreciate all Chinese and Japanese fans for supporting Jang Keun Suk, but we ask you to stop acting extremely because it is often seriously dangerous.”
Over 10,000 Chinese fans came to the concert in Shanghai to see Jang, and nearly 40 major media sources came to a press interview, which was held on August 10.
In a real-time interview on Weibo, Jang received over 420,000 questions, proving his high popularity as a Hallyu star.
Jang will continue his concert tour in Taiwan on September 1. He will also participate in the Summer Sonic 2012, which will be held in Osaka and Tokyo on August 18 and 19.
