FT Island’s Choi Min Hwan and Song Seung Hyun are Busy Co-Writing Songs

Recently, FT Island‘s two maknaes Choi Min Hwan and Song Seung Hyun updated fans with a selca on twitter. Fans welcomed such update with open arms since FT Island finished the promotion of their 4th album “Five Treasure Box” in Korea on October 21 and is no longer seen on TV.
Choi Min Hwan posted on his personal twitter account, “Writing a song together~ What kind of song will we end up with?” and added a picture of himself with Song Seung Hyun in front of a computer monitor to the post. Song Seung Hyun also updated his twitter with a picture and commented, “It’s time to go to sleep.”
Previously, Choi Min Hwan and Song Seung Hyun wrote a song together in their junior year of high school. As this song, “Compass,” was featured in FT Island’s 4th album and garnered much attention, many fans and listeners are anticipating to see what this songwriting duo have in stock.
Meanwhile, Choi Min Hwan and Song Seung Hyun does not only share amazing song-writing abilities, but also the title of the youngest musical theater performers to play the main character. Song Seung Hyun was first cast as Daniel, the main character of “Jack the Ripper,” and was highly praised for stable acting and vocals. Recently, Choi Min Hwan was also cast for a musical theater production. He will be playing the main character Ji Yong of “Gwanghwamun Sonata” in Japan. His first performance will be on November 23 in Osaka.

On November 6 on an online bulletin board, a picture under the title, “BoA and Yubin in the same dress” was posted. In the picture is Boa and “Wonder Girls’” Yubin wearing a same reddish one-piece mini dress with a zipper in the middle and a geometric pattern.
BoA wore this dress for the pictorial on the fashion magazine “Nylon” in June 2012. With her bright red lips and long wavy black hair, BoA looks mature and sexy. On the other hand, Yubin wore the same dress when she performed “Like This” on KBS’s “Music Bank.” Unlike BoA, Yubin accessorized with a cute yellow hairband, pink bracelet, and colorful running shoes. APink’s Jung Eun Ji Thanks Girls’ Generation’s Jessica for Musical Help

APink’s Jung Eun Ji thanked Girls’ Generation’s Jessica for helping her learn the acting in her new musical, “Legally Blonde.”
On November 5, a press conference for the musical “Legally Blonde” was held in Seoul. Jung Eun Ji first said, “I will do my best to not hurt the title, ‘Musical actress Jung Eun Ji.’ It’s my first time trying a musical, so I am doing my absolute best to do well.”
This is the musical debut for Eun Ji, who rose to stardom following her role in tvN drama “Reply 1997.” She’s received a lot of positive reviews from her acting in the drama, and many fans are anticipating the same type of high quality acting in “Legally Blonde” as well.
In the musical, Jung Eun Ji will be playing the role of Elle Woods, alongside Girls’ Generation’s Jessica and musical actress Choi Woo Ri. Jessica, in particular, is reported to have provided a lot of good advice as she’s also part of a girl group member and they share many things in common.
Eun Ji said, “Jessica always tries to help me and teach me new things whenever she visits our training room. Since she was part of the first casting team, she gives me a lot of tips on the acting, and I feel like she’s providing great help to me.”
“Legally Blonde” is a Broadway musical based on the 2001 movie starring Reese Witherspoon. The first musical was held in 2007 in New York. The shows starring Jung Eun Ji will begin on November 16 at the COEX Hyundai Art Hall and will run until April, 2013.

Psy Texts Military Advice to Leeteuk

Now an international star, PSY reveals that he still remains in contact with his fellow Korean stars during important career transitioning moments like being drafted in the military, despite his busy schedule.
 On the November 6 episode of SBS‘s “Strong Heart“, Leeteuk who is days away from enlisting to the army sent a mass group text message to his fellow celebrity stars which read, “I am going to miss you.” He then shared these responses on the show which provided much laughter.
PSY was the first to respond with a text message saying, “The army can be a fun place to be. Before you go, I recommend you stuff yourself with Chinese food, fried chicken and any greasy foods you’re going to miss while you’re away. Sweet stuff too. If you have any questions or things you’re curious about, feel free to call me anytime.”
Leeteuk also received other text message responses on the show that ensued hilarity in the studio. Narsha texted back, “I will miss you. I love you, Jung Soo.” And Han Jung Soo sent a message saying, “I am sorry. I understand your feelings but you are not my type. I hope you meet a nice man.”

Eunhyuk, from Super Junior, has revealed his older sister on air.
On November 6, he talked about his sister on SBS’s variety talk show “Strong Heart” after DBSK’s Yunho and SHINee’s Jonghyun showed pictures of their respective sisters. Eunhyuk revealed, “My sister’s name is Lee So Ra” and showed a big picture of her. The people at the studio gasped in surprise because of her astounding beauty and that she looked nothing like him. He mentioned, “Actually, my parents wanted my sister to be a celebrity rather than me.”

2AM’s Im Seul Ong and Han Hye Jin look like a couple

Pictures of 2AM’s Im Seul Ong and actress Han Hye Jin, who appeared on the movie 26 Years together, were recently released.
On October 30, Im tweeted two pictures with the comment, “I’m doing the post recordings for a movie with Han. I’m focusing on the monitor but she looks relaxed.”
In the pictures, Im and Han are doing the after recording for the movie in comfortable clothes. Im, who made his first appearance on the movie, is focusing on the monitor with a serious look. Han, however, looks more relaxed as a veteran actress.

2PM’s Jun Ho starts shooting the movie Surveillance

2PM’s Jun Ho will make his first appearance as an actor through the movie Surveillance.
The movie is receiving a lot of attention from 2PM fans and the movie fans by casting Sul Kyung Koo, Jung Woo Sung, Han Hyo Joo, and Jun Ho in.
The movie is about a police department that specializes in surveillance. The officers conduct surveillance of a secret group who keeps committing perfect crimes.
Jun Ho will make his first appearance on the big screen by playing the role of an ace officer, who is kind and funny. He will show off his close friendship with his coworkers through the movie.
He started shooting the movie on November 2 in Seoul and received many favorable reviews from the crew members.
Lee says, “I worried a lot prior to the first shooting. But I could have done without making any big mistakes thanks to officials and veteran actors. I’m so excited and I will do my best to learn many things.”
2PM will go on an Asian tour and Arena tour next year.

Park Jung Min, as a producer, was committed in his work hoping to showcase a beautiful comeback. In addition to title song ‘Beautiful’, Park recorded 4 songs such as ‘Tender’, which also involved collaboration with hip-hop group Viva Soul Zuwan.
Park Jung Min’s 2nd single album ‘Beautiful’ will be released in Korea on 14th November. It is his new single to be released after 22 months, since his 1st single album ‘Not Alone’, which was released back in 2011.

In the 11th episode of KBS2’s Monday-Tuesday series Ulala Couple, which aired on November 5, Go Soo Nam explains his mother that he is not in a relationship with Victoria.

A-Prince appears in a Japanese TV show on behalf of K-pop “idols”

The male rookie group A-Prince, composed of five members, will be representing Korea in a Japanese TV show on NHK.
On the 25th of October, A-Prince (composed of Sung Won, Min Hyuk, Seung Jun, Si Yoon, and Woo Bin) will make an appearance in the Japanese public broadcasting company NHK’s Number One on the Earth on behalf of all K-pop singers. Such an achievement is very rare for an “idol” group that debuted only three months ago.
According to the agency, the group has been shooting a special feature about K-pop for the past two months, since July. The host of the show is guitarist Martin Friedman of the band Megadeth, a strong rival to the legendary rock band Metallica. The guitarist has shown much affection to the group throughout the shooting as he presented them with one of his own songs as a gift.
A representative of their agency said, “The rookie group A-Prince was given a great opportunity to show their passion and talent to Japanese people. We will keep pouring our effort into expanding the K-pop fever, so please support the group with your love.”
On September 13, A-Prince successfully finished their showcase in Tokyo. In November, their first EP, Hello, will be released in Korea.

At the public practice of the musical, Legally Blonde that was held on the afternoon of November 5, Jung started off, “I heard that my fatty cheeks are gone.”
Jung explained, “I looked chubby due to my baby fat in my cheeks, but they all disappeared as I turned twenty years old. People say, ‘Jung Eun Ji underwent a plastic surgery.’ But I did not do anything at all.”
She gave a good laugh by saying, “I read the comments and it said I look older because I no longer have chubby cheeks. Don’t worry, it will come back.”
The musical, Legally Blonde that she stars in is about a girl getting to know herself as she enters a law school. It premiered back in 2009 as well.

100% sings “Bad Boy” on Simply K-Pop

TOP Media’s newest talents 100% will perform “Bad Boy” on this week’s episode of Simply K-Pop. The seven members of the group are Minwoo, Rokhyun, Joonghwan, Hyukjin, Chanyong, Sanghoon and Changbum. According to Simply K-Pop’s website. the group’s debut single “Bad Boy” is a dance track “about a boy who tries to act bad to the girl he loves because he needs to break up with her.”  It has also been praised for its unique dance choreography.

The boys performance will be aired on Nov. 6^th at 11am (KST) on Arirang TV. It will also air in 188 countries so make sure you check you home country’s Arirang TV schedule.

Some pictures of Miss A’s Suzy and actor Jung Il Woo were recently released.
On November 5, Jung uploaded a picture of himself with Suzy on his Twitter account and tweeted her, “Take this! Enjoy your pizza. I took pictures with actress Suzy today.” Jung soon uploaded another picture of himself with Suzy with the comment, “One more?”
In the pictures, Jung and Suzy are brightly smiling, making V-signs with their fingers. They look very close together under the same blanket as if they are brother and sister.

Lee Joon Gi donates ten tons of rice to people who suffer from hunger

Actor Lee Joon Gi recently donated ten tons of rice that he received from his overseas fans.
On November 7, Lee’s agency reported, “Lee Joon Gi visited the Korea Food for the Hungry International on November 1 and donated ten tons of rice.”
Lee received the rice at the press conference for the production of MBC TV’s drama series Arang and the Magistrate in August. The rice was given by Lee’s fans from Japan, China, Malaysia, Thailand, Turkey, and the U.S. According to Lee’s agency, the fans have collected money for three months to cheer for Lee with the rice.
The ten tons of rice can be provided to 90,000 people. It will be donated to children who suffer from hunger and senior citizens who live alone.
Lee says, “I wanted to donate the rice to people who need them. I really appreciate all the fans who always support me with love and faith.”
Lee has recently finished the drama series Arang and the Magistrate.

Three special things about the new TV series Missing You

MBC’s new Wednesday-Thursday series Missing You, which is drawing a lot of attention, will start airing on November 7. Before the series starts, here are three special things that will make the series more enjoyable.
#1. Park Yoo Chun, Yoon Eun Hye, and Yoo Seung Ho: Dream line up
Park, who previously appeared on and received many favorable reviews for KBS’s Sungkyunkwan Scandal, MBC’s Miss Ripley, and SBS’s Rooftop Prince, will play the role of a detective named Han Jung Woo, who still misses his first love. He is delightful but chases criminals like a fierce animal.
Yoon, who will appear on her first series in a year and five months, will play the role of a fashion designer named Lee Soo Yeon, who is Park’s first love. She is always bright and confident in herself, but she is also hiding her sadness deep inside her mind.
Yoo, who has become a representative actor among those who are in their 20s, will play the role of a charismatic asset manager named Kang Hyung Joon. He looks gentle but he seeks vengeance upon Han Jung Woo.

#2. Child actor and actress Yeo Jin Goo and Kim So Hyun
Yeo and Kim, who previously appeared on MBC’s series The Moon Embracing The Sun together, will play the roles of a young Park and Yoon.
They will give emotional performances to live up to the expectations among the audience. They will also remind the audience of their fresh first love as it enters into its preliminary stages.
#3. Writer Moon Hee Jung and director Lee Jae Dong work together on the superb melodrama
The series is written by writer Moon Hee Jung, who wrote Can You Hear My Heart and The Last Scandal Of My Life. Producer Lee Jae Dong, who produced Thank You, will work with the writer together for the new series.
Their collaboration will bring the wonderful love story to the small screen and will capture the audience with the start of their first love.

The series Missing You is a classical melodrama about a man and woman who have wounded hearts from their first love. The first episode of the series will air on November 7 at 9:55 p.m.
