Lee Hyun Woo Charms Fans With Killer Smile

Lee Hyun Woo, the star of romantic-comedy SBS drama To The Beautiful You, was recently on a two-day promotional tour to Malaysia and Singapore. Just like his role of Cha Eun Gyul, Hyun Woo appeared on stage by peeking out mischieviously from the backstage. Smiling from ear-to-ear, he was welcomed by the screams of fans who flooded the 3 levels of Suntec City Atrium.

The young 19-year-old is no rookie to the acting scene. Having played roles in dramas like King Sejong the Great, Equator Man and God of Study, Hyun Woo has a strong fanbase following him. In his efforts to reach out to all his fans, he introduced himself in 4 languages; Korean, English, Mandarin and Malay! Followed by the cliche yet romantic line ‘I Love You’.
Talking about his character, Lee Hyun Woo mentioned the strong similarity he had with Cha Eun Gyul in terms of their pure and sincere heart. When asked to pick between his co-actors Sulli and Ji Won, Hyun Woo complimented both, finding them just as attractive.
Demonstrating how he would mesmerize a girl, Hyun Woo went onto his 3 killer moves; eye contact, a smile and a cute wink. This had the crowd screaming for more. Throughout the fanmeet, Hyun Woo showed a massive amount of expressive ‘aegyo’, with peace signs and the infamous ‘bbuing bbuing’, when requested.
Hyun Woo had the opportunity to try local Singapore delicacies on stage, namely, Chicken Rice, SinChew Bee Hoon and Rojak. Out of the fans who won exclusive passes, 5 lucky ones were picked to perform Hyun Woo’s signature 귀여워/Gwiyeowo song on stage. Thereafter, Hyun Woo could backhug one of the contestants to determine the winner. Being a kind generous soul, Hyun Woo confessed that he could not pick just one winner. To the surprise of everyone, he offered to hug all 5 contestants and even had individual selcas with them. What a treat!
Expressing his gratitude and thanks to his fans, Hyun Woo exited the stage after a short yet interactive moment with fans. Peeking out from backstage again, Hyun Woo said his goodbyes one final time and hopes to visit again. Determined fans stayed on even after his stage exit, in the hopes of catching a glimpse of the actor whilst he leaves Suntec City.
Remember to catch Lee Hyun Woo stars in To the Beautiful You, airing Wednesdays and Thursdays at 9.05pm exclusively on channel ONE.
