SNSD top the charts with “I Got A Boy”

SNSD topped the charts with “I Got A Boy.”
SNSD ranked first on Mnet’s M Countdown and KBS 2TV’s Music Bank with the song, the lead track of their fourth album, released on January 1.
SNSD also topped the Hanteo Chart for two weeks with the album and receive a lot of attention from the U.S. Billboard, MTV, and Popdust with the song.

Soo Yeon says, “I wish I went back to 14 years ago”

In the 18th episode of MBC’s Wednesday-Thursday series Missing You, which aired on January 9, Soo Yeon (played by Yoon Eun Hye) gives a correct answers to questions given by Han Jung Woo (Park Yoo Chu).
Saying that’s correct, Jung Woo tells Soo Yeon to reveal what she wishes for. Soo Yeon says, “My dream is to go back someday 14 years ago. Or if it’s impossible, I wish I lived the rest of my life like those days.”
Jung Woo asks when it was, and Soo Yeon recalls her old happy days, saying, “The day I had a fight with detector Kim for snatching a clothespin. I’d never seen my mom look so happy before.”
One day, 14 years ago, detective Kim played prank on Soo Yeon by snatching her clothespin given by Jung Woo as a gift. Soo Yeon chased after him trying to get it back. Watching them playing a joke, Soo Yeon’s mom is all smiles. Soo Yeon now misses the happy old days.

SNSD’s Taeyeon reveals, “Sooyoung prays for a good husband”


In the episode of SBS’s Midnight Entertainment TV that aired on January 9, Girls Generation was interviewed in a segment titled “Tell Me Your Wish.” When asked which member is likely to change herself most dramatically when she gets a boyfriend, the girl group pointed out Sooyoung. Leader Taeyeon added, “Whenever we get these kinds of questions, we point out Sooyoung. She prays for a good husband. I heard she actually does pray in a sincere and earnest way.”
Embarassed, Sooyoung burst out laughing. Tiffany, next to her, explained, “She also prays for us, her SNSD bandmates.”

Kim Hyun Joong starts going on a tour of Japan

Kim Hyun Joong recently started going on a tour of Japan.
On January 10, Key East, Kim’s agency, reported that Kim held concerts in Kobe on January 6 and in Saitama on 7 under the title of Japan Tour 2013 Unlimited.
Kim has attracted a total audience of 20,000 to the two concerts.
A spokesperson for Kim says, “The concerts were really successful. Thousands of fans of Kim Hyun Joong waited for the concerts to begin for several hours in front of the concert halls, wearing shirts that have Kim Hyun Joong’s initials printed on.”
For nearly two hours, Kim gave dynamic performances to the audience with a lot of energy, and the audience enjoyed the concerts standing up. Kim also occasionally tried to communicate with them in Japanese.
The spokesperson for Kim also says, “Kim Hyun Joong tried a variety of performance and stage setting at the concerts. With a band participating in the concert from the beginning to the end, he received many favorable reviews from the audience.”
Kim will make stops in a total of ten cities in Japan, including Nagoya, Fukuoka, and Osaka.

Park Si Hoo spends an unforgettable time with his Japanese fans


Actor Park Si Hoo recently gave a special gift to his overseas fans.
Currently receiving a favorable review for his acting in SBS TV’s drama series Cheongdamdong Alice, Park spent a special time with about 500 fans of his who came to Korea to see him from Japan and China, inviting them to the set of the series.
The weather was freezing, but the fans watched Park’s acting, keeping order. Park responded to the fans by waving his hand in the middle of the shooting.
After the shooting, Park spent some time with the fans, taking a picture with them. He also shook hands with all of them.
Park says, “I really appreciate all the fans for coming to the set to see me despite the cold weather. Because of the tight shooting schedule for the series, I couldn’t spend enough time with them. I want to say thank you to them through the series, though. Please give Cheongdamdong Alice your interest till the end.”
Cheongdamdong Alice airs every Saturday and Sunday at 9:55 p.m.
