The US Billboard introduces K-pop group Infinite

Group Infinite recently appeared on the US Billboard.
On January 29, Infinite was introduced on the K-Town by the US Billboard under the title, “Infinite: Video Q&A With the Rising K-Pop Superstars.”
The Billboard says, “INFINITE’s popularity is massively growing in both Korea and Japan, but their megastar status didn’t come overnight. The group’s 2010 debut effort ”Come Back Again” was met with a lukewarm response and they remained relatively unknown until the release of their second EP.”
“The group included a highly-technical “scorpion dance” on their dramatic single “BTD” (Before The Dawn) that soon drew more and more eyes to the rookie group. In October 2011, the group propelled into super-stardom with breakout single, “Be Mine.” Then “The Chaser” was selected as the No.1 K-pop song of 2012 by Billboard.”
Infinite says to the Billboard, “We were absolutely blown away when we first heard about it through the news. “The Chaser” is a song that best represents Korean sentiments.”
The Billboard also reported on Sung Kyu’s solo EP, Dong Woo and Hoya forming unit group Infinite H, their fandom Inspirit, and their plan for new EP.
The group’s agency says, “It is rare that Infinite is receiving attention from the US Billboard because they only performed in Korea and Japan. We think that K-pop is receiving considerable attention from all over the world and they want to find the next K-pop star following Psy.”

Lee Dong Wook says, “I was snubbed bu a famous actor when I was an extra”

Actor Lee Dong Wook spoke about chagrin he had before he debut as an actor. 

On the episode of SBS’s Strong Heart that aired on January 29, Lee opened up, “I came across an actor when I was an extra. I always arrived first at the set. One day, I found a famous actor before my eyes. I was so excited that I walked up to him and said hello. I didn’t expect him to know about me, but never expected he turned me cold shoulders. He said, ‘What’s this?’ with an annoyed look. That really humiliated me, and then I though I would give extras nice and polite greeting when I become a star.” 

Meanwhile, Secret’s Song Ji Eun also talked about the hard times she went through when she was a newbie.

Super Junior M will release the second album, Break Down, on January 31

The second album of Super Junior M will be released in Korea on January 31 at noon.
On January 29, Super Junior M’s agency reported, “The new album of Super Junior M contains eight Chinese songs, including ‘Break Down,’ the lead track; ‘Go,’ which Henry’s songwriting team Noize Bank composed and actor Zhao Wei wrote lyrics to; and ‘Good Bye, My Love,’ a ballad that shows off Super Junior M’s singing abilities, and the Korean versions of ‘Break Down’ and ‘Good Bye, My Love.’ The second album of the group, which was released all over the world before its release in Korea, topped the U.S. Billboard World Album Chart, which is very unusual for an album recorded in Chinese.”
Super Junior M will perform the lead track of the album on Mnet’s M Countdown on January 31, on MBC TV’s Show! Music Core on February 2, and on SBS TV’s Inkigayo on February 3.

Infinite H release the music video of “Without You”

Infinite H recently released the music video of “Without You.”
On January 28, the music video of “Without You” was released on the official website of Infinite. It was characterized by stylish colors and classy beat and choreography. With a black-and-white background, Hoya and Dongwoo show off a chic look, which is very different from the lively, cute look they show off in the music video of “Special Girl,” the lead track of their first album.
In the music video, hip-hop musician Zion. T, who wrote the song and was featured in the song, also appears.
“Without You” is a song that was released for the first time at Infinite’s concert held last year. It’s already popular among the fans of Infinite. As soon as the first album of Infinite H was released, it ranked in the top ten of the charts along with “Special Girl.”
Infinite H are currently promoting the first album through TV music shows.
