A netizen who has been leaving hostile comments on the Twitter account of So Hee of the Wonder Girls (composed of Sun Ye, So Hee, Ye Eun, Yu Bin, and Hye Lim) is finally placed under arrest.
A representative of JYP Entertainment which manages the group told to Starnews on November 9, “The person who has been disturbing So Hee with his malicious comments online was finally arrested on the 8th.”
According to this personnel, the police put Lee, a college student aged 22, under custody for violating the law about the information network system utilization and information protection and committing contempt.
The staff said, “JYP sued him earlier in April.” At that time, JYP courteously asked him to remove harmful mentions he posted, but he refused to stop which eventually led the agency to respond to the situation with a legal action.
“JYP is responsible in protecting its own celebrities and make sure that they are not harmed because of false rumors. We aren’t yet to know about what kind of verdict the justice department will come up with, but we’re waiting patiently.”
Despite several warnings by JYP Entertainment, Lee continued to post following comments completely ignoring the agency: “If you want to get me, come and get me.” “I’m not going to delete those comments.” “What are you to put me under some conditions and threaten me?”
Eventually, JYP filed a complaint against him in April and finished submitting necessary evidence and making testimony. They also charged him for violating the law about the information network system utilization and information protection and committing contempt.
