SNSD will come out with new material in fourteen months.
On December 21 at 10:00 a.m., SNSD released “Dancing Queen,” one of the tracks from their fourth album, on major music sites. It’s a cover version of the British pop singer Duffy’s hit song, “Mercy.” The song was recorded by SNSD four years ago.
As an unreleased song, “Dancing Queen” was included in the fourth album as the concept of the album is Time Machine, which symbolizes SNSD’s past, present, new challenge, and future.
Before releasing the album in early January next year, SNSD released a cover version of a popular song that appeals to people at all ages.
It’s been fourteen months for SNSD to release a new album in Korea since they released the third album, The Boys, in October last year. Except for SNSD-Tae Ti Seo’s “Twinkle” and SNSD’s “Mr. Taxi,” “Dancing Queen” is the first song of SNSD to be released in Korea in a year and two months.
SNSD will also release new material in the U.S. next year. Having received a lot of attention as the K-pop artist to succeed Psy, SNSD will release a new album in English in the U.S.
The fourth album of SNSD will be released in early January next year.
