It’s a new experience for gamers to meet a celebrity through Aion. On January 27 at 9:00 p.m., the online game Aion, from NC Soft (CEO Kim Taek Jin), is to hold a virtual fan meeting for the popular singer IU under the title “IU Live Party.” For this special party, the company integrates all 44 servers into one big virtual space called Live-Air in which all of its game users can get together. IU will be the first guest of the event. Live-Air is like a concert in the sense that you can enjoy a singer’s performance live, but it’s also like a fan meeting because you can have an intimate conversation with a celebrity.
IU will be managing a character that looks like her on the stage provided in Live-Air. She will talk with users online through the screen, but you can also spot her enjoying the game on a screen set up backstage. The event only allows approximately 20,000 first comers online, and they will be lucky enough to see IU perform her own hits live as well as the new theme song of Aion titled “Aion: Atreia.”
