K-Pop Star 2: Nicole is the only survivor from SOS

On the episode of SBS’s I Love Sunday—K-pop Star: Season 2 that aired on January 20, a fierce audition to select top 18 went on, following last week’s episode. 

The contenders gave jaw-dropping performances thanks to the special training by three agencies, SM, YG, and JYP, and all of them were set to show their enhanced singing and dancing ability to be chosen. 

Having been trained by YG for a week, group SOS, consisting of Lee Soo Kyung, Kim Se Jung, Nicole Curry, gave a   fantastic performance of Christina Aguilera’s ”Come On Over.”

The trio mesmerized the audience with flexible dance moves and enjoyable mood. Finding a standing microphone too higher for her, Nicole showed a jumping and dancing skill rather than being embarrassed. 

Judge Park Jin Young refused to cast her, saying, “I like her having confidence, but it’s a bit too much.” BoA also didn’t give her admission to SM.

Yang Hyun Suk, however, added her to be on his team, saying “I saw her potential as a professional singer.” Meanwhile, the other two contenders were, sadly, sent home.
