On the episode of SBS TV’s Good Morning that aired on February 18, Siwon, of Super Junior, was selected as the richest “idol” singer. Some of Super Junior other members had already said on MBC TV’s Golden Fishery—Radio Star, “Siwon is the richest ‘idol’ group member. Siwon always says he will help us whenever bad things happen to us.” Leeteuk said on SBS TV’s Kang Shim Jang, “Siwon made the biggest profit of all the members of Super Junior in 2011. Because he does TV commercials abroad, we can’t catch up with him.” Indeed, Siwon makes a lot of profit by doing TV commercials and working as a singer and an actor. His popularity is especially high in China, Taiwan, and Hong Kong.
Siwon was followed by JYJ’s Jun Su, KARA’s Goo Hara, BoA, and Big Bang’s G-Dragon. SNSD’s Sooyoung and 2AM’s Jung Jin Woon were selected as natural-born rich “idol” group members.
People who saw the show responded: “I didn’t know Siwon was that rich.” “I think Siwon can buy MBC TV.” “Super Junior is awesome. Go, Siwon!”
