Kim Jae Joong, a member of the Korean idol
group JYJ, recently chatted live online with 510,000 fans from 32
countries. The chat session was broadcast by Naver, Korea’s largest
Internet portal. According to his agency, Cjes Entertainment, Kim
visited the Naver headquarters at 8:00 p.m. on March 12. He answered
questions from fans and told several anecdotes about things that had
happened on his world tour.
Fans from Asian countries,
including Korea, Japan, China, Taiwan, and Thailand, as well as from
European countries such as Turkey and Spain took part in the online
meeting, pumping out more than 50,000 comments during the session. The
participants were also allowed to draw things symbolic of their home
country on a photograph of Kim.
