Gangnam-gu
(강남구/江南區) or Gangnam district is a district in Seoul located south of
the Han River. Gangnam district, along with Seocho district and Songpa
district made up the Greater Gangnam Area – the most affluent area of
South Korea. Real estate is expensive and many very affluent Koreans
reside there. The Koreans in Gangnam have their own way of style and
likes to shop at luxury brands along Apgujeong’s Rodeo Street and visits

Cheongdam-dong is known for its art and fashion. Known as the most
affluent area of the Gangnam area where coffee cost 4 times as much as
other places. You can also spot Hallyu and K-pop stars at this area if
you’re lucky.

Gangnam Station is located at Yeoksam-dong, Gangnam-gu. Teheranno is
located in the area. Many internet related companies such as Naver, Daum
and Google Korea are located here.

Apgujeong-dong is known for the “yuppies” culture of Korea. This is

Sinsa-dong is best known for its ginko tree lined road, known in
Korean as “Garosugil (가로수길)”. The area hold many hair salons, cosmetic
surgery clinics, indie boutiques and charming cafes. The area usually
draws younger crowds.
