On February 6, the U.S. Billboard reported about MFBTY on its K-pop column segment K-Town, which was newly created on its website last month, under the title of “MFBTY Spread Korean Hip-Hop in France.”
The article covers MFBTY’s performance in MIDEM, the biggest music market in the world, which was held in Cannes, France, on January 27. Their interview and the music video of their song were also uploaded on the website.
The Billboard introduces Tiger JK and Yoon as, “The Korean version of Jay-Z and Queen of Hip-Hop.” About MFBTY, the Billboard says, “They fascinated all critics and reporters who attended MIDEM with their energetic performance and aggressive rap. They made them move their hands and heads and proved that music can transcend the limits of language. Whether or not they intended, MFBTY solidified the Korean Hip-Hop as a firm genre that can be welcomed anywhere in the world.”
MFBTY’s first single, Sweet Dream, is currently number thirteen on the U.S. Billboard K-pop Hot 100.
