T-ara’s Hyomin was recently cast in a Japanese movie to play the lead role for the first time among Korean female singers.
On February 7, Hyomin’s agency said, “She will play the lead role on the movie Jinx, which is a love story about director Naoto Kumazawa. Hyomin will play the role of a Korean student named Ji Ho and perform with Japanese actors Shimizu Kurumi and Yamazaki Kento.
Hyomin says, “I’m nervous because I will be the first Korean female singer play a lead role in a Japanese movie. But I want to receive favorable reviews with my performances. I’m also happy to work with director Kumazawa.”
The movie will be simultaneously released in Korea, Japan, Singapore, Taiwan, and Hong Kong.
Hyomin will keep busy performing T-ara’s Japanese EP and shooting the movie.
