Finally, we learn why Psy, Big Bang’s Seungri, and Tablo posted pictures of themselves taking turns holding a sign that reads “Don’t Hate Me.”
When YG Entertainment released Epik High’s seventh official album titled 99, on October 17, it came to the light that the album includes tracks titled “Don’t Hate Me” and “Up.”
The “picket relay” was arranged as a surprise event by YG Family to advertise Epik High’s double-title track “Don’t Hate Me.” The event began on the 14th of October.
Before leaving for Australia on the 14th, Psy posted a picture of himself holding the “Don’t Hate Me” sign on his SNS page without any comment and made people curious.
A staff member of the agency said, “This event was proposed by Psy in order to encourage Epik High, who is returning to performing after taking three years off. His sense of humor gave the project a big start. In addition to Psy, Big Bang’s Seungri and Tablo relayed the ‘picketing’ to introduce Epik High as a new member of YG Family.”
“Don’t Hate Me” was composed by Tablo, and 2NE1’s Park Bom is featured on the song. The group’s seventh album, 99, will be released on the 19th at 6:00 p.m. online and the hard copies will hit the market on the 23rd, the ninth anniversary of the group.
