Big Bang announces their comeback at the K-pop Awards

Big Bang received the Artist of the Year – February at the Gaon Chart K-pop Awards.
At the second Gaon Chart K-pop Awards, which was held on February 13 at 7:00 p.m. at the Olympic Hall in the Olympic Park, Big Bang received the award for “Blue,” which topped the chart in February last year.
On the stage, Taeyang said, “Thank you so much for giving us so many awards. It’s hard to go up and down the stairs, but we’re happy to do so.”
Taeyang also talked about the group’s plan for new material. He said, “We’ll come out with new material this year. Please look forward to it. We’ll keep working hard on making good music.”
The K-pop Awards selects the winners based on the accurate, objective data (sales volumes of songs and albums) collected by the Gaon Chart. The Artist of the Year is given to the groups that top the chart each month and quarter.
The award ceremony was hosted by Joo Young Hoon and Ga In from the Brown Eyed Girls. Such artists as Big Bang, Super Junior, TVXQ, SNSD-Tae Ti Seo, 2NE1, the Wonder Girls, and T-ara attended the awards.
