G-Dragon, the leader of Big Bang, has attracted public attention by buying a room-and-board guest house, commonly called by the French name pension in Korea, for his parents.
The pension’s website will be onllne soon, and the establishment is set to open officially on December 5, G-Dragon’s father, Kwon Young Hwan, is listed as the proprietor of the establishment though both parents, who are currently staying at the pension, will operate the business together.
The value of the property is officially registered as 300 million won, bit according to real estate experts, its selling price is between 500 and 600 million won.
A spokesperson for the business says, “Though the pension has not yet opened officially, many fans of Big Bang have already visited and stayed overnight. We are receiving a lot of calls for reservations. G-Dragon has visited the pension twice. Once in October, he stayed at the pension before he left on an overseas concert tour. Except for Taeyang, none of the other members of Big Bang have visited the place. The other members and the YG Entertainment family will visit after the opening.”
The website gives information about the rooms, which are named after some of Big Bang’s numbers, including “VIP,” “Heaven,” “Day By Day,” “Blue,” and “Crayon.” Potential Japanese visitors will be pleased to find that the information about the pension is given in their own language as well.
G-Dragon shows special affection for the room named “Crayon.” The spokesperson says, “The overall interior design was done by G-Dragon’s mother, but ‘Crayon’ is a room that G-Dragon decorated himself with special props. He stayed in the room for a while, and it is not to be rented out for the time being.”
Fans of G-Dragon will get a charge out of seeing a picture of his pet dog, Gaho, on the top page of the website.
