Jo Sung Mo talks about his dark, miserable hiatus

Singer Jo Sung Mo has made a confession with tears.
In the episode of tvN’s Baek Ji Yeon’s People Inside that aired on November 19, singer Jo Sung Mo frankly shared about his four years of hiatus after getting his leg injured in 2009.
After the unexpected accident on his leg, people filed a suit against him as he was changing agency and financial pressure came along. His activities in Japan got cancelled due to the earthquake which also led to the cancellation of all concerts, events, and commercial shootings for the next four years.
As he remembered those experiences, he said, “If my fans did not pull me out of my house, I was a jobless person who spent his whole day doing nothing at his house. Sometimes I would go days in pajamas without washing myself.
“One day, I sat on the cover of the toilet and tears began to roll down suddenly. ‘What am I doing now? Would I able to continue doing music?’ I struggled with that thought.” As he shared his story, he could not help but show tears.
He gave thanks to his wife who has been there for him for the past four years where he experienced the worst life as a singer. He said, “I’ve been receiving a great, committed love that can never be measured.”
