Singer IU recently took sticker photos with her friends.
On August 10, IU tweeted a picture with the comment, “We took a photo to celebrate Hye Mi’s birthday. I wish the four of us could appear on a talk show after Seong Goo and Hye Mi debut.”

A special set of stamps for Jang Keun Suk will be issued in Japan

A special set of stamps for actor Jang Keun Suk will be issued in Japan in celebration of the twentieth anniversary of his debut.
The Post Office of Japan will issue a special set of stamps for Jang in celebration of the twentieth anniversary of his debut.
Jang is the first Korean celebrity who will have his face on a new set of stamps, which will be officially on sale in Japan. The special stamp issue is to celebrate the twentieth anniversary of his debut.
The special set of stamps will be on sale from August 20 in all post offices in Japan and on the official website of the Post Office of Japan. There are two different sets of the stamps, the First History and the Second History. The First History shows Jang’s childhood and adolescence, and the Second History shows his current looks.
The sets of stamps include specially-made postcards, envelopes, stickers, as well as some unreleased photos of Jang.
Jang recently decided to hold additional concerts in Saitama, Japan, because all tickets for his concerts in Japan, part of the 2012 Jang Keun Suk Asian Tour – The Cri Show 2, had been sold out.

Lee Min Ho will show off his charismatic look in the rain on Faith

Lee Min Ho is tipped to give a strong impression in the first episode of Faith.
In the first episode of SBS TV’s new drama series Faith, which will air on August 13, Lee will make the charismatic first appearance in the rain as Choi Young, a warrior of the Goryeo Dynasty.
In some snapshots of the scene released on August 10, Choi Young is escorting King Gong Min (played by Ryu Duk Hwan) and Princess Noh Guk (played by Park Se Young). SE7EN plans Korean and Japanese best EP release for 10th anniversary

Singer SE7EN will release his Korean and Japanese best EP for the 10th anniversary of his debut.
On August 10, YG Entertainment said, “SE7EN will release his new EP SE7EN The Best on September 5 in Japan. The EP includes various songs that were popular in Korea and Japan.”
The EP is composed of two CDs. Japanese hit songs, including, “Hikari,” “Angel,” “Style,” and “Love Again,” and Korean songs, including, “Passion,” “Lalala,” and “Digital Bounce” will be included.
SE7EN released his new song “When I Can’t Sing” early this year and returned to performing. He drew a lot of attention by collaborating with Park Jin Young.
He received many favorable reviews thanks to the song and he promoted himself by touring Asia.
SE7EN received the Best Overseas Performer award at the ’2012 China Music Awards and Asia Influential Awards’ and proved his high popularity in China.

After School soon to hold a closed fan meeting with Kahi

Girl group After School will hold its third fan meeting in Korea since their debut in year 2009. Expectations are on the rise because the oldest sister Kahi, who graduated back in June, will also be attending the event.

The fan meeting will be held on August 12 at the Art Center Theater S of Sookmyung Women’s University. This will be the third fan meeting held in Korea.

Previously in June, After School announced the graduation of the oldest member Kahi and the joining of a new member Ga Eun with the release of their new single album, Flashback. This event is especially meaningful for Ga Eun because it will be the first official fan meeting for her.

Kahi will also make an appearance on the event and spend quality time with the fans.

A publicist of their agency, Pledis Entertainment, reveals, “Kahi has been working as a singer and actress and promised the fans to improve further. Therefore a lot of fans are looking forward to her since this will be the first fan meeting after Kahi’s graduation.”

It has been revealed that all the members of After School have been preparing very hard to show off their talents and give out gifts for the fans who attend this closed fan meeting

SM Entertainment recently opened the ‘S.M.ART Exhibition in Seoul.’
The exhibition, which will be held on August 10 through 19, presents new digital technologies combined with entertainment content and IT from SM Entertainment and global enterprises.
On August 10, the first day of the exhibition, TVXQ, Super Junior’s Shindong and Sungmin, and EXO visited the exhibition to help celebrate the opening. The stars appearance attracted many people to the exhibition and heated up the place with excitement.
The stars had a great time exploring the exhibitions with the other visitors. They said hello to their fans at the ‘S.M. History Zone.’ They also expressed their about the exhibition and drew a lot of attention.
In addition, TVXQ’s Yunho said, “I like the ‘S.M.ART Gallery’ the most. There are lots of unique works that were made by singers and I even wanted to take some home with me.” Super Junior’s Shindong said, “I’m surprised to see the huge exhibition and happy to attend it with so many people.” EXO-K’s Baekhyun said, “I think the exhibition will impress the people.”
SM Entertainment will go on the third world tour to hold the ‘SM Town Live’ concert starting on August 18 by holding a concert at Olympic Park in Seoul.

Kim Soo Hyun revealed his playful side during the shooting of the film The Thieves as befitted his role as the youngest thief in the film.
On August 8, some behind-the-scenes photos of the film were released by Show Box Media Plex, a distributing company of the film.
In the photos, Kim is attracting a lot of attention with his various looks and poses. In one of the photos, he’s posing as if he’s practicing martial arts with his top taken off. He’s also putting a shirt on his naked upper body to make it look like he’s wearing it in another photo.
Playing the role of the youngest thief named Jampano in the film, Kim impressed many women by portraying a man who is passionately in love with Yenicol (played by Jeon Ji Hyun). The kissing scene between Jampano and Yenicol is especially receiving many enthusiastic responses.
The Thieves has attracted over seven million audiences in only thirteen days. If the total number of the audience reaches ten million, it will be the first film that has attracted over ten million audiences in three years after Haeundae. Kim has become a box-office star with his first feature film. Many people are paying close attention to see whether or not he can also be powerful on the screen as he was in MBC TV’s drama series The Moon Embracing the Sun.
The Thieves is an action crime film about ten Korean and Chinese thieves who work together to steel a diamond called Tears of the Sun, which is hidden in a casino located in Macao. The box-office record of this film broke that of The Avengers on August 7.

IU is the most wanted vacation idol

IU was recently selected as the idol most people wanted to go on a vacation with.
Cable TV Y Star’s Goong Geum Ta did a survey asking people enjoying their summer vacation in Haeundae, “Which idol would you like to go on a vacation with?”
As a result, male respondents voted IU as the best female idol. She beat miss A’s Suzy and showed off her high popularity as a national younger sister.
f(x)’s Krystal and SNSD’s Yoona were also popular contenders and they proved that the majority of male citizens would like to go on vacation with an innocent idol star.
On the other hand, female citizens want a muscular idol to go on a vacation with. 2PM’s Nickhun ranked first and he was followed by Taec Yeon, B2ST’s Ki Gwang, Big Bang’s T.O.P, and Infinite’s L.

Jang Keun Suk is so popular in China that the police overlooks him even though he violated traffic regulations.
Several TV series, including You’re Beautiful and Love Rain, in which Jang appeared, air on in Chinese broadcast channels. As a result, Jang has become a very popular Hallyu star in China.
On August 9, Jang arrived at the Airport in Shanghai, China. According to a local media outlet, over 300 fans gathered to see Jang at the Airport.
The Airport let Jang use the VIP exit for his safety. Many fans, who waited Jang for a long time, continued to wait for him, even though he had already left..
The fans even made a row at the Airport and they finally started chasing Jang’s mother. His mother barely got in the car.
The problem was the car was about to be ticketed for a traffic violation. A police officer realized that the car belongs to Jang and he let the car pass. Jang has become so popular that the police officer even overlooked his violation.

SM and JYJ fail to mediate

SM Entertainment and group JYJ (Kim Jae Joong, Park Yoo Chun, Kim Jun Su), who are in opposition to each other over their contract, recently failed to come to a conclusion in mediation.
On August 10, a grievance mediation over JYJ’s exclusive contract with SM Entertainment was held behind closed doors at the Seoul Central District Court. However, the two sides couldn’t iron out their differences.
They were unable to reach an agreement at the very end especially for adjusting the group’s activities in Japan.
The court will give a decision from the first trial on September 13 upon a dispute regarding an exclusive contract between SM Entertainment and JYJ.

In the picture, BoA is smiling while making the V sign and Yesung is putting his arm around BoA. Yesung drew a lot of attention by not touching BoA’s shoulder.

Lee Seung Gi: “I will definitely join the Army, I just don’t know when”

Top star Lee Seung Gi recently talked about the rumors regarding him joining the Army next year.
On August 10, Lee’s agency, Hook Entertainment, said, “The news that saying Lee will join the Army next year is not true.”
On the same day, a media outlet reported on Lee and said that he would join the Army next year. The outlet even guessed that he would serve his duty as an ordinary soldier.
A spokesperson for the agency says, “He will definitely join the Army when it is time for him to join. We don’t know why these kinds of rumors keep coming out.”
“We just don’t know when he will join the Army. Lee and the agency have never talked about when will be the best time to join the Army.”
Lee was born in January, 1987. He graduated Dongguk University in February, 2009 and received his master’s degree at the same University.
According to the agency, Lee has been taking break since he completed shooting MBC’s series The King 2 Hearts in May. He is currently preparing for his Asian fan meetings in response to his worldwide fans and considering his next job as well.
Lee will start holding fan meetings on August 25 in Singapore and will go to other Asian countries, including, Taiwan and Indonesia.
