TVXQ top the charts in Thailand and Taiwan

TVXQ recently topped the charts in Thailand and Taiwan.
Today, TVXQ’s agency reported, “TVXQ recently proved their popularity and potential as a top artist by topping the charts in Thailand and Taiwan with ‘Catch Me.’ They have topped the Channel [V]‘s Asian Chart in Thailand for six consecutive weeks (from October 29 to December 9) and the True Music Channel’s True Music Top 20 Chart for three consecutive weeks (from November 17 to December 7).”
TVXQ’s new album Catch Me has also been selected as Asian No. 1 Pop on Channel [V] and the Asian Of The Month on True Music Channel. The channels aired the music video of “Catch Me” and interviews with TVXQ in the month of November.
The special edition of Catch Me (CD+DVD), which was released in Taiwan on November 30, also topped the G-Music Asian Chart (from November 30 to December 6) in the country.
TVXQ are currently promoting their new song, “Humanoids,” in Korea.

Super Junior K.R.Y to release the first single in Japan in January

Super Junior K.R.Y will release the first single in Japan next year.
Today, a spokesperson for Super Junior reported, “Super Junior’s ballad unit group Super Junior K.R.Y will release the first single Promise U on January 23 in Japan. It’s the first single for the unit group to release in Japan.”
Super Junior K.R.Y is a unit group formed by Kyuhyun, Ryeowook, and Yesung, the vocalists in Super Junior. The unit group differentiated itself from Super Junior by having released sad ballad songs. Performing a total of 22 songs at the latest concert of Super Junior in Japan, Kyuhyun, Ryeowook, and Yesung attracted a lot of attention from the audience.
Because Super Junior are currently very popular in Asia, tickets for the concert were quickly sold out, and an additional concert will be held at Budokan in January next year at the request of the fans of the group.
Holding a concert at Budokan means a lot because it’s the largest concert hall in Japan, where such world-famous artists as the Beatles and Avril Lavigne have performed. Super Junior K.R.Y are the first unit group to hold a concert at the dream concert hall in Japan.

Lee Byung Hun goes through an awkward moment because of a broken escalator


Why did the escalator break when Lee Byung Hun came?
Lee, who recently visited Hong Kong to promote his new film G.I.Joe 2 (directed by Jon M. Chu), went through an awkward moment at the airport because of a broken escalator.
On December 11, Lee arrived at the Hong Kong International Airport and was escorted by the staff of the airport. Lots of reporters were there to interview Lee.
One of the reporters says Lee was wearing sunglasses but very kind. According to the reporter, he also showed off his distinctive smile.
However, a problem happened when he arrived in front of an escalator because the escalator suddenly stopped. Lee seemed a bit embarrassed by the situation for a moment but walked down the escalator with a smile.
On December 12, Lee attended a promotional event to release a 3D version of the film G.I.Joe 2 and the Asia Press Day at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Hong Kong.











Lee Seung Gi to perform his new song for the first time on M Countdown

Lee Seung Gi will perform his new song for the first time on Mnet’s M Mountdown.
On the episode of M Countdown that will air live on December 13 at 6:00 p.m., such male vocalists as Lee, Roy Kim, B2ST’s Yo Seob, and Nell will perform.

Actor Lee Joon Gi recently held fan meetings in Japan with about 10,000 fans.
Lee has met his Japanese fans at the Nagoya Century Hall on December 4, at the Osaka International Convention Center on 5, and at the Yokohama Pacifico on 10.
Those were special meetings for Lee’s Japanese fans, held under the title of “JG Time with You…in Japan” in celebration of Christmas. Despite the cold weather, over 10,000 people came to the meetings to see Lee from all over the country.
It’s been nearly nine months since he saw his Japanese fans for the last time. He appeared on the stage with a nervous look on his face and said hello to the fans in Japanese. The fans welcomed him with a shout of joy.
With hair that has grown a bit longer and a gentle smile, Lee showed off a mischievous yet manly look throughout the meetings.
At the fan meetings, Lee talked about some behind-the-scenes stories about the drama series Arang and the Magistrate and his life as a singer and an actor.
When Lee performed his new song, which he has practiced for ten hours a day, the fans enthusiastically responded to it.
Lee said, “Thank you so much for coming to see me and welcoming me despite the cold weather, and I always thank you for loving me and cheering me. I will be more active in overseas countries from now on, and I want to see you again with a new project.”

JYJ’s Park Yoo Chun is ready to capture China

JYJ’s Park Yoo Chun is receiving a lot of attention in China as a next Hallyu star.
According to the agency, C-JeS Entertainment, on December 13, big Chinese portal site Baidu has a fan community for Park with over 130,000 people. The members of the community are keep increasing rapidly and in October over 5,000 members conducted a campaign for a week to collect signatures to ask Park hold a fan meeting in China.

Park started gaining popularity in China with his TV series Sungkyunkwan Scandal and Rooftop Prince, which have received over 100 million hits on a Chinese video site.
His current airing TV series Missing You is also receiving a lot of attention in China. It ranked first on the daily, weekly, and monthly charts among Korean TV series and it ranked fourth among all TV series including Chinese TV series.
A local official says, “Park is unbelievably popular. He is so charming in every TV series and he visits China to hold fan meetings. I think that impressed many Chinese fans and his will constantly receive an explosive response.”

Harry loses his temper―”I don’t want to fight over Han Jung Woo”
