Shinee ranks first on the Billboard World Album Chart

On May 3, Billboard’s World Album Chart ranked Shinee’s third album Chapter 2, Why So Serious?: The Misconceptions Of Me, which was released on the 26th of April, at the top.
Shinee has received a lot of attention both at home and around the world. Their zombie dance has gained popularity internationally. Moreover, this is not the first time that the group has shown up on a Billboard chart. On the World Album Chart of March 9, Shinee’s Chapter 1, Dream Girl: The Misconceptions Of You ranked second.
The World Album Chart ranks non-American albums, using Nielsen SoundScan to decide the ranking on the basis of weekly album sales.
Only four members of Shinee are currently active, because Jong Hyun is out recovering from a nose injury. He will concentrate on his treatment for a while until he recovers completely.

On May 2, a showcase and press conference for the release of Younha’s second EP, Just Listen, was held at Ilchi Art Hall, in Gangnam, Seoul. This is Younha’s second showcase since her debut in 2006.
It is expected that there will be a big competition this month among singers who are releasing new albums, such as Lee Hyo Ri, 2PM, Shinhwa, Secret, T-ara N4, and 4minute. Asked whom she regards as her archrival, Younha said: “All the other singers are on my mind. I can anticipate what the headlines will be after the press conference. I expect to get called out on this, but I feel that Lee Hyo Ri is my archrival. Lee Hyo Ri is like the brightest light in our business. I really look forward to her new album, and I’m curious about what it will be like.”
Younha’s new EP consists of seven songs, including “Unacceptable,” which drew attention after its advance release in March, and the lead track “The Real Reason We Broke Up.” This is the first time one of Younha’s own compositions has been picked as the lead track of an album.

On May 3, Younha is to perform on Music Bank, aired on KBS2. In addition to her TV appearances, Younha is also going to give concerts at Blue Square Samsung Hall on June 21 to 23.
