Child actor Kim So Hyun says, “I enjoy reading snarky comments on me”

Child actor Kim So Hyun has talked about how she feels about snarky comments on her.
On the episode of SBS’s Strong Heart that aired on December 4, Kim opened up: “I went through hard times this year, acting lots of different villans.”
The child actor spoke about the vicious role she took in the MBC’s The Moon That Embraces The Sun. “It really put me down when I thought no one would like my character, so i nearly hated my character, Yoo Jung,” she confessed.
Kim added that she had played the child role of Jung Yoo Mi’s character in the series The Rooftop Prince and that had been even more vicious.
The 13-year-old said: “I played in a scene where I had my sister burnt on her face because I wanted to be the princess. I found it really hard to play that evil scene and got some advice from senior actors. They told me to check out some snarky comments on the web, because getting that, it means you’re doing a good job with your vicious role. And I went on the web and found out 99% comments about me was harsh. At first I felt strange to see them, but in a minute I found myself smiling, reading them. Like the seniors said, the snarky comments helped me grow up.”

2NE1′s Displays Their Best in New Evolution Tour, Singapore

Pictures courtesy Launch Entertainment
The weekend was literally K-pop haven, with over 4 different artistes and events happening in Singapore. But to Blackjacks who have been awaiting for 1 December 2012, nothing else mattered but their idols, 2NE1. Despite having been to Singapore on previous occasions, this is the first time 2NE1 is staging their full-scale solo concert, New Evolution Global Tour. And with Singapore being the last stop, one can expect the highest level of stage presence and adrenaline-rush performances!
Appearing on stage with a big bang, the quartet kicked off the show on a high note showing just what they are made of with hit songs ‘I Am The Best’ and ‘Fire’. Waving their white-winged light sticks, the 8000 over fans went wild and those seated were seen on their feet right from the start of the concert!
The stage set-up was amazingly done, complete with light-effects, pyrotechnics, confetti and moving platforms. They even had inflatable slides specially for the encore stages, in which the girls slide down and showed off their relaxed child-like personalities.

One of the highlights was definitely the solo stage of each member, displaying their individual talent and flavor. Leader CL showed off her chic confident self by turning the stadium into a club. Transforming into a DJ, she spun remixes of her favourite songs; ‘Girls Just Wanna Have Fun’ <Cyndi Lauper>, ‘We Found Love’ <Rihanna>, ‘Hung Up’ <Madonna> and ‘Who’s Ready to Jump’ <Chuckie>. Feeling the heat herself, she took off her neon jacket halfway through.
Despite being the youngest, Minzy has always been known for her powerful execution of moves and she proves just why she’s labelled as a dance machine. Together with the Hi-Tech dancers, Minzy broke into her hip-hop dance routine which includes a series of splits and body waves.
Lead vocalist Park Bom blew the stadium down with her strong vocals. Standing solo on stage, she commanded everyone’s attention and belted out two of her solo tracks; ‘Don’t Cry’ as well as ‘You and I’.

The males in the crowd were most definitely looking forward to Dara‘s solo act. ‘Kiss’, the title of the song says it all. Since it is their last show, Dara asked where she should kiss the lucky guy, “On the lips?” she teased. The lucky male fan walked away with no lip-kiss, but that moment of Dara sitting on his lap and the lip stain on his cheek must have been an unforgettable one.

After an encore of ‘I Don’t Care’ and ‘I Am The Best’CL also requested for a group photo with the audience as their last-show memento. Not wanting to part ways just yet, and with the atmosphere still at a peak, CL asked the crowd if they’d like for a re-encore. Of course, fans scream out their choices of songs and settled on ‘I Love  You’. A fitting song, to end the night and for fans to express their love to 2NE1, vice versa.

Getting emotional, Dara was seen unable to control her tears from flowing. Thanking their fans and promising to be back again, the concert ended on a high note.
Of course 2NE1 did not work alone. Wrapping up the concert, they gave thanks and introduced the other people who helped to keep the atmosphere fun and high. Namely, the live band and their back-up dancers(Hi-Tech and Crazy).

Organized by Launch Entertainment, the concert was definitely one energy-packed treat! Promising to be back in Singapore again, Blackjacks can look forward to it as well as 2NE1′s upcoming album next year! And who knows, a possible YG Family Concert? Now, that would be something this writer would look forward to!

The King Of Drama: Kang Hyun Min takes plunges in the sea for his drama

Kang Hyun Min is named “the actor seal” after successfully filming swimming scene in the sea for the first episode of The Morning Of Kyungsung.
In the episode of SBS’s Monday-Tuesday series The King of Dramas that aired on December 4, after days of twists and turns, the filming of The Morning Of Kyungsung is finally kicked off. In order to emphasize the manliness of the lead actor, writer Lee Go Eun adds the swimming scene in the first episode.  The actor is not happy about the scene, but has to plunges into the freezing-cold sea by  others’ encouragement.
The thing is he has to dive into the sea tens of times rather than just once because of director Goo Young Mok, who wants a perfect scene. When the actor is perfect, there is a dog passing by, which means he has to do it again because of the dog.
Finally, when the scene is given the green light, the director and the crew hailed him “the actor seal.” The A-lister, however, grumbled in the car, shivering in the cold. Writer Lee visits him and hands him a canned coffee. “Everyone on the set has been impressed. You look fabulous in the scene,” she praised.
The abrasive actor looks delighted, replying back, “Do I? Like a Brad Pitt?” Lee replied, “Yes, absolutely.” With self-complacent smile, the actor talks to himself, “Haha, Brad Pitt. Inevitable.” (The superstar, full of himself, must mean incredible, though.)
