Korea’s Non-Verbal Comedy ‘Flying’ Sky-High

16 Nov 2012, Singapore – Tickling one’s funny bones for a whole 80-minutes, the cast of Korea’s newest non-verbal comedy ‘FLYing’ won the hearts of the audience. Evident by the snaking long line, the young and old queued for a group photo with the cast at the end of the performance.
FLYing is the brainchild of Head Director Choi Chul Gi, who is known for other non-verbal shows like JUMP and BREAKOUT. What sets this latest production apart from the rest, is the inclusion of sporty elements – cheerleading and gymnastics. Together with the very best of gymnastics, martial arts and B-boying, the different elements perfectly blended into 1 stunning show. The use of animated graphics places the performance further up on the scale.
Performed by a strong cast, most of whom were involved in JUMP and BREAKOUT, the two ladies majoring in rhythmic gymnastics blew the audience away with their flexibility, accuracy and graceful movements.

Infusing a historical context, the show started off in the era of King Jinpyung in Silla Dynasty. Chaos broke out at the appearance of a goblin also known as ‘Dokaebi’ played by Chinese actor Zhang Di. Whilst battling a Hwarang warrior, both time-travelled to the modern world, at Silla High School, catching a group of cheerleaders by surprise.
Beautiful relationships bloomed as they joined forces in the hopes of defeating the goblin. And as they say, good things come to an end. To find out how the ending turned out, secure your tickets and catch the cast in action! Just 2 days left, so hesitate no more for this is definitely a must-watch for anyone!
FLYing is presented by Mediacorp Vizpro, for more information do head over to their facebook page.
