“Little Psy” skips classes as he becomes busy

Hwang Min Woo (8), who is also known as “Little Psy,” has confessed that he often skips school due to his “hectic” schedule.
In the episode of YTN’s Issue & People that aired on November 15, “Little Psy” Hwang Min Woo appeared with his mother, Buti Lee, and shared some behind-the-scenes stories of shooting the music video of “Gangnam Style.”
Hwang said, “I entered elementary school this year, but because I have such a busy schedule, I often skip classes. My teacher says, ‘Try to attend classes more often. Your absence gives me a hard time.”
Buti Lee added, “Because Min Woo is getting busier, it makes me busy as well. When he has to travel abroad, I have to go with him, back and forth,” giving a vivid description about his soaring popularity.
Min Woo’s mother, Buti Lee, is from Vietnam. She came to Korea in 2004 and gave birth to Min Woo. After his appearance in Psy’s music video of “Gangnam Style,” Hwang became very popular.
In the meantime, a reporter from the American broadcasting system, ABC, visited the studio to interview “Little Psy.”
