On December 4, YG Entertainment, 2NE1′s agency, reported that 2NE1 will release a CD under the title of New Evolution in Seoul. The CD contains fourteen tracks of videos of 2NE1′s concerts held at the Gymnastics Stadium in the Olympic Park on July 28 and 29 as part of their global tour.
YG said, “The live concerts of 2NE1, which fascinated the total audience of 20,000 with the group’s powerful performances and stage manners, are contained in the CD. American recording artist Divinity Roxx, who used to be a music director and a bassist of Beyonce when she went on a world tour, participated in this concert and recreated several hit songs of 2NE1 into new types of band sounds.”
YG also said, “2NE1 received a lot of attention from the foreign music market through this global tour. Tickets for the concerts held in New Jersey and LA were sold out, and 2NE1 ranked 29th on the Current Box Score, the Billboard’s concert sales chart, with the concerts.”
The CD will be released on iTunes in the middle of this month.
