B1A4’s leader Jinyoung makes a cameo appearance in the drama TV series The Thousandth Man.
In the third episode of MBC’s fantasy sitcom The Thousandth Man (written
by Kim Kyun Tae; directed by Choi Hwa Jin, Kang Chul Woo) which will
air on August 31, Jinyoung plays the character Min Gyu of his early days
when he gets a broken heart from his first love.
Currently, B1A4 is gaining popularity with the song “Hey
Girl,” a song for the sound track of the series, and Jinyoung’s
challenge for actin also attracts eyes.
The character Min Gyu is the man whom Mi Jin (played by
Kang Ye Won) falls in love with in the 80s, and he is an ordinary man
with a beautiful dream. However, they break up because of small
misunderstanding, and when they meet again after 27 years, Min Gyu
(played by Jo Duk Hyun) happens to live away from his families, lonely
in his late forties, without any dream.
In order to portray the male character in his 20s who is
also a college student of the 80s, Jinyoung gives some change in his
hair and wears big horn-rimmed glasses. Although it is first time for
him to act, he has gained positive feedbacks for his perfect acting in
portraying a shy young man.
Netizens who saw the trailer for the episode revealed
expectations for his change with the comments: “I’m so looking forward
to Jinyoung in black hair.” “I thought he was only good at singing… I’ll
definitely watch the episode!”
The August 31 episode is to remind viewers of old
memories with great pieces of music back in the 1980 and appeal to their
emotions.
The episode with Jinyoung will be on August 31 at 9:55 p.m.
