Arang (played by Shin Min Ah) cries because of the biting remarks made by Eun Oh (played by Lee Joon Gi).
In the episode of MBC TV’s drama series Arang and the Magistrate that aired on August 29 at 9:55 p.m., Eun Oh makes biting remarks to Arang who didn’t bring his mother’s binyeo (Korean traditional ornamental hairpin).
Eun Oh asks Arang where her binyeo is as she is not wearing it in her hair. Arang says, “Because I cannot bring anything from the otherworld, I left it there. Don’t you remember that I was naked when I came back alive? Why is it so important? It’s not a tangible thing.”
At this, Eun Oh gets outraged and says, “That binyeo is far more important than an evil spirit like you.”
As Eun Oh calls her an evil spirit, Arang feels sad and says she’s now a living person, but Eun Oh says, “So what? Do you really understand living people?”
At Eun Oh’s biting remarks, Arang also responds to him with biting remarks, saying, “Your mother didn’t disappear. She just left you because she didn’t want to see you.” However, as Eun Oh leaves the room, Arang sheds tears, feeling sad.
Arang and the Magistrate is a fantasy melodrama about Arang, a reckless ghost who wants to know about the reason of her death, and Eun Oh, a picky magistrate who has an ability to see ghosts.
