Singer Psy’s “Gangnam Style” ranked at the top of Music Bank again, making it his fifth week to remain the place.
In the live episode of KBS 2’s music show Music Bank that
aired on October 12, Psy’s “Gangnam Style” beat TVXQ’s new song “Catch
Me” and placed in the top of the K-chart five weeks in a row.
Because the singer could not attend the show, he did not get the trophy in person.
Previously in August, the singer topped the rankings for
two weeks in a row, but he yielded the top ranking to Kara’s new song
“Pandora” on September 7. But he gained it back on the very next week
and has been at the top since then.
The music video of this particular song was viewed 370
million times on YouTube and has become the tenth most viewed video in
the history of YouTube. Also, his song is currently ranked no.2 in the
America’s Billboard chart, attracting popularity around the world.
