The Wonder Girls’ Sun Ye gives her first performance as a married woman



Sun Ye of the Wonder Girls, the first “idol” girl group singer to be married, will appear on stage after her honeymoon.
According to a number of representatives of music industry on February 1, Sun Ye will perform at the finale ceremony of 2013 Pyeongchang Winter Special Olympic on February 5 in Pyungchang, Gangwon-do.
The Wonder Girls are the honorary ambassadors of this special Olympics and they are expected to give a grand finale for the event. All five members of the group, including Sun Ye, will be in the performance.
After enjoying her honeymoon to the Maldives, the celebrity will be back on February 2 and will have her first performance as a married woman on a meaningful stage. Many fans are already interested in her activity.
The 2013 Pyeongchang Winter Special Olympics is held from January 29 to February 5, for eight days in Pyeongchang and in Gangneung region. As stated above, the last performance will be by the Wonder Girls.
On January 26 at 10:30 a.m., Sun Ye was married to James Park (29), a five-year-elder Korean missionary who was raised in Canada, at the Lotte Hotel in Sogong-dong, Seoul. The wedding was officiated by her church pastor, hosted by 2AM’s Jo Kwon, and special performances were by JYP Family including Park Jin Young.
It is the third year that Sun Ye and Park have been together. They met first during Sun Ye’s activity in the United States and got closer to each other as they were involved in a volunteer work in Haiti. Sun Ye is the first female “idol” member to be married so far.

In 2001, Sun Ye was cast by SBS’s Park Jin Young’s Project to Train a Talent, 99% Challenge and was trained in JYP. She debuted with the Wonder Girls in 2007 with the first single titled “Irony.” The songs “Tell Me” and “Nobody” were also big hits which made them to be known as Korea’s “idol” singers.
