Wonder Girls’ Yu Bin makes acting debut

Wonder Girls’ Yu Bin will perform in a TV series for the first time.
According to CJ E7M on February 1, Yu Bin was cast in cable channel OCN’s original TV series The Virus, which will air in March.
Yu Bin will play the role of a genius hacker named Lee Joo Young. Lee, who is talented and beautiful, supports the team leader (played by Um Gi Joon) in Special Contagious Disease Crisis Management Team.
Park Ho Sik, producer for the series, says, “Yu Bin is beautiful but she also has a tomboy image and that’s why we wanted to cast her in the series.”
He added, “She will play the role of Lee Joo Young, who is free and easy but also beautiful and feminine.”
The series, which contains ten episodes in total, is a mystery thriller about the Special Contagious Disease Crisis Management Team trying to track a fatal mutant virus.
The series will air in March.
